Fur, scales, fins, or feathers, everyone has a story.

Happy Inktober everyone! I know, I really wanted to be back to regular story updates by now. But I'm going to need another month it looks like. Still working on getting the job and income sitch all ironed out. In the meantime though, I did decide to participate at least partially in Inktober this year.
"Imagine, if you will..." A universe where everyone has a twin sibling who's almost their exact double, except the opposite gender. This is... "The Twin-light Zone!" (Get it...?)
Kind of a variant on "genderbending" comic characters, except I like getting to see the two versions next to each other. It's an interesting exercise to think about what characteristics a particular character has that causes us to associate them with one gender... and which characteristics I could change (and how) to communicate the opposite gender. And also, can I do so without sacrificing the other traits that make each character themselves?
For this particular one, I mostly like how it turned out, though I think I made "Inez" a bit too round in the chest. In the world of Aww, Feathers! non-mammal women usually don't have pronounced breasts, unless they have mammalian ancestry. I was trying to still give her a bit of curve, but I think I pushed it a tad too far. Oh well. That's what these exercises are for!
It'll be fun to see how the others turn out! These will take the place of normal updates during the month of October. As I've said many times before, thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support!
Oh, and one more thing: I'll be doing the same theme for my weekly Aww, Feathers! Sketchbook Club entries this month. So if you like these and want to see more, subscribe over at Patreon and you'll get two updates per week instead of just the one! (Not to mention access to all previous sketchbook club entries... over thirty in all!) Not only is it a way to get bonus Aww, Feathers! content, but it's yet another excellent way to support the comic!
